Testing Specialist

My client a leading QLD employer is looking for a Testing Specialist to join their team on a long term contract basis with possibilities of further extensions.

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Lead or undertake systems testing design and improvement methodologies to ensure systems can be migrated from a development environment through to implementation within quality assurance guidelines.
- Liaise directly with vendors and suppliers, in order to confirm deliverables are compliant to contractual specification.
- Liaise with project teams as internal specialist consultant, in order to correctly interpret what is required of the testing process and provide leadership, advice and communicate testing outcomes.
- Ensure the implementation of quality testing methods to align with best practice ICT testing frameworks which encompasses strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools and standards.
- Develop project Test Strategy and Test Plan(s) within a requirements and risk based testing and assurance framework.
- Manage various types of testing in line with the Test Strategy, including the provision of test environment, technical support, and documentation reviews.
- Lead the review of technical and business design requirements and identify alternative solutions.
- Manage ICT testing resource requirements according to project schedules to meet project milestones

To be considered for this role you must have:

- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform the requirements of the role within a large, complex and geographically dispersed ICT environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff in line with contemporary human resource management policies, procedures and practices including anti-discrimination, ethical behaviour and occupational health and safety.
- Demonstrated experience in the planning of the system and acceptance tests and an excellent understanding of testing methodologies, tools and techniques within a large, complex IM/ICT program/project(s) environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of quality testing methods and frameworks to ensure the integrity of testing and an ability to develop project test strategies, test products and cases.
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of testing, including plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables and audit ability for large, complex IM/ICT program/project(s).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal project stakeholders and external technology vendors in order to partner with and engage them in delivering the required IM/ICT outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of testing requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment.
- Ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of required IM/ICT outcomes.
