Testing Manager ROLE - Manchester - 35-45K

My client are a private sector organisation based in Manchester with a large IT department. They are looking to bring in a new testing specialist to manage their test function, and take a leading role on several major projects planned over the next few years.

The current IT function is split across multiple teams who work on different platforms and projects at any one time. Each team has their own development and testing resource, but the plan moving forward is to bring in an experienced senior test team lead / test manager who can help shape the testing strategy across the entire department and get a consolidated approach to testing moving forwards.

Required Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (able to liaise with multiple teams & internal stakeholders up to director level)
- Design and embed test strategies & test plans
- Strong practical knowledge of unit testing, load testing and scenario testing

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Oracle databases
- Knowledge of ERP Systems (ideally Oracle E-Business Suite / Oracle Applications)
- Experience leading and managing testing teams
