Testing Engineer

Our Customer requires a Testing Engineer for an initial 2 month period to be based just outside of Amsterdam.

UTP DOCUMENT BASED ON THE CUSTOMER PROVIDED DRAFT TEST PLAN, OUR CLIENT WILL FINALISE A UTP DOCUMENT INCLUDING DESCRIPTIONS OF RELEVANT ITEMS SUCH AS (WHERE APPLICABLE) THE FOLLOWING:

- Routing and routing peer connectivity.
- Convergence and routing protocol recovery characteristics.
- Network component upgrade scenarios.
- Basic interoperability testing with neighbouring equipment.

HARDWARE UPGRADE TEST PLAN INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:

- Test environment requirements including whether the testing will be carried out in either a lab or a live network environment.
- Basic system configuration and network connectivity checks; and a definition of upgrade testing success criteria.
- A list of UTP tests and expected results designed to validate network readiness;
- Rollback plans/scenarios in case of failed upgrade

DETAILED TESTING PROCEDURES FOR EACH UTP TEST INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:

- Test description and goal.
- Test preparation steps.
- Test execution steps.
- Results-capture steps; and expected test results.
- A definition of service testing success criteria.

UTP REVIEW
SCOPE DETAILS:
If required because of major changes, our client will arrange a meeting to review the UTP document.
If Customer requests changes to the UTP document, then the Client will evaluate the requested changes and as long as the changes fall within the scope of this SOW, will update the UTP document as necessary and will resubmit to Customer for review and sign off as described above.
During this phase, our Client will also make preparations for the Lab testing (eg setup lab facilities).

PTX UPGRADE TEST PLAN EXECUTION
DELIVERABLE SUMMARY:
Based on the UTP Deliverable, Jour Client will work with Customer and End-User to execute the tests defined in the UTP document for their Networks Products, using the Networks Amsterdam PoC Lab environment.
The anticipated duration of the testing is 1 week (5 consecutive days).

TASKS:
OUR CLIENT WILL PERFORM UPGRADE PROCEDURE TESTING AGAINST THE UPGRADE PROCESS TEST PLAN PROVIDED ('UTP'). UTP EXECUTION WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Execution of the tests documented in the UTP in (if requested) conjunction with Customer and
End-User, using the Amsterdam PoC Lab facilities.
Documentation of test results in a UTR. The UTR will be created from the UTP document and updated with the test results. If test execution (as documented in the UTP document) takes
Place in the live Target Network environment, they will provide monitoring checks post testing for 5 days.
