Projektbeschreibung

A Testing and Terminations Inspector is required for an offshore contract May to September on a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off rotation, reporting to the Inter array Package Manager. The load out port is Eesmhaven in North Netherlands and the inspector will be on the client's Cable Vessel.

The contractor will be paid a maximum of 0.5 days for each travel day where onshore overnight accommodation is required. Additionally, all reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed as part of the monthly invoice.
As well as previous experience, the right candidate will have GWO certificates in place prior to starting.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure that all vessel activities, transfers and lifting activities are being conducted safely, within safe working limits and as per procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate all cable installation activities.
- Ensure high quality of hang-off installation, cable routing and termination works by closely monitoring the Contractor, including detailed inspections of critical aspects of the termination.
- Witness of testing activities during loadout (if required), offshore and any other tests as may be part of the Contractors scope or otherwise necessary. Ensure that all tests are within contractually agreed specifications and tolerances.
- Review and evaluate all testing results and deliverables.
- Where a QA issue is identified, report, document and photograph issues and prepare any necessary non-conformance report.
- Participate in TBT, HIRA, TRA, JSA, HAZOP and any other HSE related meetings prior to and during construction.
- Monitor, evaluate and report Contractors progress in coordination with the Cable Package Manager.
- Communicate and cooperate fully with any other offshore Representatives to ensure safe and unhindered Contractor progress.
- Assure that any deviations from contractual agreements, approved procedures, contractor's programme or the issued work permit will be documented and reported to the Cable Package Manager or onshore representative as soon as possible.
- Ensure workplaces are tidied after termination works are completed and any damage to the foundation/TP is recorded and highlighted by the contractor within their as found and as left documentation.
- Ensure Transfer of Custody documentation is issues in a timely manor
- Where practical, participate in daily progress calls with Construction Management and other project meetings as required.
- Be familiarised with the respective contract, procedures, contractor's programme and any other relevant contractor documents.
- Be familiarised with all site Safety Rules, Offshore Installation Guidelines, Electrical Rules and the Permit to Work System of client and the Contractor.
- Be familiarised with the Emergency Response Plan, the Vessels Operational Manuals and any other related and relevant project specific documentation.

Assist contractor and other Employer's contractors with SIMOPs and shared workplaces (ie OSS cellar deck, planning work activities etc.). Any foreseen clashes should be discussed and coordinated with Construction Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Comprehensive technical background and experience in (subsea) electrical cable testing and termination
- Knowledge and understanding of IEC standards with respect to subsea cables
- Good report writing and communication skills.
- Valid offshore medical and GWO offshore training certificates (or equivalent) in First Aid, Working at height and offshore survival.
