Testing Advocate

SynergisIT, recognized by Staffing Industry Report as one of the fastest growing private IT staffing companies in the US, is seeking a Testing Advocate for a contract assignment for one of our clients in Johns Creek, GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

With minimal direction writes scripts and executes test cases during functional/system/integration testing.
Will analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test cases/scripts.
Will write detailed defect reports and work with developers and other project team members to resolution.
Will ensure compliance with all Macy's SDLC processes.

REQUIREMENT:

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
The ability to work independently with limited direction
The ability to adapt to a wide variety of situations
Demonstrated experience in multiple test techniques
Ability to convert Business and System requirements into positive and negative test cases
5 to 7 years' experience in testing
Experience writing test cases, creating bug reports, executing and tracking testing assignments
Experience in data validation and cross-system testing
Experience in Mainframe and Client Server testing
Experience in testing in batch and interactive Mainframe environments
Understanding of retail concepts a plus
Can quickly absorb functionality of the Macy's Advertising Systems application
Must be a strong team player with the onshore development team.
Ability to manage an offshore testing team through the offshore test model
Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time.
Attention to detail important for understanding the application to identify all areas requiring testing
Can work well within a testing group
Able to find solutions to issues instead of delegating issues to others.
