Testing Administrator (QA Tester) Job

TESTING ADMINISTRATOR (QA TESTER) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located at Des Peres, MO just outside the St. Louis area.

- Coordinate activities of the testing environments and test teams

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Ensures teams follow the organization's established policies and procedures
- Manage release package testing to predefined acceptance criteria
- Manage release package acceptance including business sign off
- Manages pre and post installation audits for release package changes
- Provide initial support in response to incidents/errors detected within a new or changed service
- Provide feedback on the effectiveness of the release, including management level reports
- Complete formal transition of the service to operations and technical support teams
- Travel required once per quarter, likely to extend past
- Apply judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of company personnel
- Prioritize and organize effectively
- Analyze and interpret data
- Document, prepare, and deliver data-driven presentations
- Influence internal and external stakeholders to build strategy and consensus
- Make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
- Develop strong working relationships with peers and project members

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- SCRUM TEAM WITH AGILE METHODOLOGY
- DEVELOPING TEST PLAN, TEST DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS AND TEST CASE SPECIFICATIONS FOR COMPLEX DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS
- USING INDUSTRY LEADING TEST TOOLS (EG HP LOADRUNNER, QTP, SERVICE TEST, MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO TEST PROFESSIONALS, ETC.) TO AUTOMATE TEST SCRIPTS AND TEST CASE
- Analyzing business, functional, and technical requirements and translating them into test requirements and test cases
- Analyzing test results, generating test reports, identifying defects and/or anomalies, and fine tuning test data or test cases
- Overseeing the end-to-end testing of entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects to ensure quality, timely defect resolution(s), and software performance, etc.
- Producing documentation, eg testing requirements, testing platform architecture, test specifications, test configuration for various tests such as integration testing, system testing, regression testing, stress & load testing, etc.
- Microsoft business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, SharePoint, etc.)
- Testing mobile apps, devices and software (Android, iOS, etc.)
- Matrix management of remote resources
- Cable Industry Knowledge (desired)
- JIRA (desired)
