Tester ( Web Based/Java/Coldfusion/JIRA)
The contract is with a consultancy in Brussels to be on an assignment at a major European site as follows:-
The contractor will execute the following tasks:
Definition of test plans
Definition of test cases
Construction of test scenarios and scripts using selenium webdriver & jave/j2ee frameworks
Tests coordination and execution
Reporting of test results
The information systems team is led by a team leader and counts about 15 people with different profiles ranging from project manager, analyst, application architect designer, interface designer, tester and information system support. The team manages several development and maintenance projects to maintain and further extend the existing information system portfolio to meet the requirements of our user community. Most of the systems are web based and make use of Java and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate, ColdFusion, HTML, XML, JavaScript and Oracle. The team makes use of Agile and SCRUM to steer the development process. We favour short delivery cycles and a high user involvement. JIRA is used for issue tracking, planning and progress reporting. The Confluence wiki is used to store project documentation. To improve the quality of our applications developers' review each other's code. In addition we make use of Selenium for automation of functional testing and BAMBOO for continuous integration. The consultant will work closely together with project managers, other team members and users. English is the main working language.
The contractor must have:
Proven knowledge of testing technologies, methodologies and tools
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in teams
Good communication skills
Aptitudes in reporting
Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
In addition to the above knowledge and skills the contractor must have an in-depth knowledge and proven experience with Oracle, Java, J2EE, UML, JIRA, Selenium, Confluence and Business Objects. S/he should have good analytical skills, be fluent in English and French, and have good drafting skills.
