Tester (SAP FI) - Belgium

My international client in the Antwerp region are currently looking for a Tester (SAP - FI) who will be responsible for testing activities related to new releases of existing software (changes) and new projects. This is a 12 month contract starting in January. Excellent communication and writing skills in Dutch and English is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- The tester will be responsible for writing test protocols, test scripts, test reports (STR, Progress Report, Defect/Bug Report)
- Responsible for test execution, analyze test results, defect logging and defect follow up
- Testing activities are related to new releases of existing software (changes) and new projects
- Work in close cooperation with the business users, development team and IT project Leads
- Review/Analyze/correct interpretation of functional specifications and user requirements
- Provide support on user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Create/set up test data
- Assist business Lead/Key user to develop user acceptance test scripts
- Report progress status to IT test coordinator/IT Project Lead
- Daily synchronization with the test coordinator on progress and issues of test preparation and execution

QUALIFICATIONS

- 2 years of experience with Clearquest
- 4 years of experience with HP Quality Center
- 4 years of experience with SAP FI testing
- 2 years of experience with SAP TRM
- 2 years of experience with SDLC
- 2 years of experience with Toad or SQL Plus

REQUIRED PROFILE

- Master and/or Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent through experience
- Relevant experience in software testing (2-5 years)
- Experience with financial processes and SAP - FI is a must
- Experience in using HP Quality Center 10 (experience with other test tools is an asset)
- Experience in using ClearQuest (preferably 2 years or more)
- Experience in using JIRA is a plus
- Experience in: Functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, performance testing is a plus
- Minimum 2 years' experience with TOAD (SQL)
- Affinity with IT systems (SAP/own developed JAVA applications) and processes
- ISTQB certification is an asset
- Knowledge about software development life cycle methodologies is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to follow internal procedures and guidelines
- Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
- Quick learner, motivated self-starter
- Flexible (working hours)
- Able to work independently
- Diplomatic and proactive with a critical mindset
- Excellent communication and writing skills in Dutch and English
