TESTER/QA ENGINEER - BELGIUM - 6 MONTH CONTRACT - €400/€475 PER DAY - JANUARY START
We are looking for a system testing engineer to join our team to aid in the verification and validation mechatronic control systems.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Involved in the review of hardware and software requirements specifications of complex systems for weaknesses in function, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security and compliance testing, and provides recommendations.
Develops test plans, FMEA, testing resource requirements, and overall scheduling of testing activity.
Responsible for developing, building and maintaining manual and automated test cases and configurations needed to meet testing of system and high-level component requirements.
Executes test cases/scripts to ensure delivery of quality software applications.
Prevents, reports, resolves and monitors defects and resolutions in close cooperation with R&D.
Research New tools, Technologies, and Testing Processes.
Work closely with the bid, development and commissioning teams.
Analyses test results and provides pro-actively feedback to the R&D team.
Reports bugs, open items and change requests in provided quality system tooling
Takes full ownership and the responsibility in the release procedure to manufacturing and to the customer by exploiting the abilities of version control systems
Participate in activity planning meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in QA, with an emphasis on system verification and validation and proven ability in writing test cases, running functional, automated or performance tests and managing defects.
Knowledge of software and hardware testing principles, methods and processes.
Experience with Python, JavaScript, Perl or any other Shell Scripting language or programming language.
Experience with test automation frameworks such JUnit, TestNG, NUnit, Selenium, Silk Test, JMeter or similar technologies (prefer open source software).
Experience with Linux and working knowledge of TCP/IP and general networking practices.
Experience with Defect/Project Management Tools, preferably Jira.
Solid experience in test-driven development, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, GUI testing, web service testing, and browser compatibility testing.
Pragmatic and hands-on oriented
Excellent analysis/problem solving skills
Experience with V-(project life cycle) model
Team player with good communication skills and firm knowledge of English and Dutch.
Likes to share knowledge with the team in Belgium and Bulgaria.
Customer focused and committed to quality
Keeping the overview without losing attention to details
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or electronics
