To support the implementation of IT project, the client is looking to a new test resource combining the role of Test Manager and Tester.

Job description:
The role of Test Manager/Tester is to effectively manage all testing activities in a project.
To fulfil this role, the Test Manager must understand the discipline of software testing and how to effectively maintain a testing process while fulfilling the traditional leadership roles of a manager.

The Test Manager is responsible for:
- Representing the role testing plays within the organizational structure.
- Planning, managing & budgeting testing activities for your projects.
- Using of appropriate templates, incident management and tooling solutions (everything that can help preparation test scenario, test data, test execution, test result verification).
- Identifying and resolving test project issues.
- Obtaining decisions on the acceptance of the deliverables.
- Communicating the test project status (detailed and measurable) to the team members, to the business and to management.
- Managing the relationship with the project's stakeholders.

The Tester is responsible for:
- IT testing = integration + system testing:
- Read & validate the RFA (=Requirements & Functional Analysis document)
- Read & validate the TD (=Technical Design document).
- Create Integration & System test scenarios
- Create end-to-end test scenarios
- Create regression test scenarios
- Create data migration test scenarios
- 'GO' to start IT test scenario execution
- Execute Integration & System test scenarios
- Execute end-to-end test scenarios
- Execute regression test scenarios
- Execute data migration test scenarios
- Create defects
- Retest fixed defects
- UAT testing = user acceptance testing:
- Read & validate the RFA
- Create user acceptance test scenarios
- Create end-to-end test scenarios

Experience & skills:
Test Manager & Tester role
- Test Management

+1 year experience in test management
- We expect the Test Manager to be a team player in an international team, being able to effectively communicate in different ways, being it written or oral.
- Extensive understanding of IT Project management and Test methodologies (Waterfall, V-model, iterative, agile).
- Hands-on experience in working with an onsite & near shore project team.
- Skilled in test deliverables such as the Master Test Plan, detailed test plans, Test Strategy, status reporting to management, issue tracking, etc.
- Experienced in Quality Center and JIRA
- Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
- Keen focus on customer satisfaction

- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- having a TMap and/or ISTQB certification is an advantage
- having telecom knowledge is an advantage

IT Tester:
- Experience: >2 years experience in Testing.
- Is solution minded and creative
- Has an analytical way of thinking and attention to detail
- Masters the Black Box Testing Techniques
- is able to create and execute manual test scenarios
- is able to query a database
- Understands the development process
- Has knowledge of the different testing methodologies
- is able to validate a functional analysis and technical design document
- Manages the maintenance of the test ware
- Has hands on experience in HP Quality Center (Test Plan, Test Lab, Defects).
- Works with the other team members (especially development) to detect, analyze and correct software bugs.
- Understands the role of testing within the software development lifecycle and business-related project constraints
- is able to create and execute automated test scenarios
- Is able to write the Test Plan (Test Scope, Test Strategy, Planning, Reporting, ….
- Hands on experience in HP Quality Center (Customization).
- Is able to estimate testing activities based on a WBS
- Is able to steer a small team of testers (max 4)
- Follow up & coaching of Junior IT Testers
- Understands the Project Management processes
- is able to manage a Test Automation Framework

Soft skills required:
o Fluent English is a must, both oral and written. French and Dutch are an advantage.
o We expect the IT Testers to be team players in an international team, being able to effectively communicate in different ways, being it written or oral.
o Pro-active communication, and in case of questions, issues, improvement proposals etc … is crucial.

- Why the client needs testers: According to the V-model terminology: the IT tester performs Integration and System testing, in order to release a bug-free application in the client UAT test environment, ready to be accepted tested by the client end users.
- The client considers the Integration and System testing as 1 phase = IT Testing.
- Technologies used at the client: Oracle, Unix, JAVA, .Net, BO/DWH reports, Qlikview. DB query tools (PL-SQL)
