Test/validation Engineer (Air Traffic Control) Contract Maastricht

Air Traffic Control Engineer/Tester/Unix O.S. (or Linux), Shell Scripts, TCP, IP, UDP/RUDP, SNMP

The contract is with a major consultancy organization to be on an assignment on a Europe wide Airspace Capacity Management (ACM) system in Maastricht

ESSENTIAL

- A University degree in Information Technology or equivalent degrees/experience
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- In-depth and practical experience of at least 5 years in the testing and acceptance activities of systems in the ATM/CNS field is essential to allow an efficient step-in and the shortest possible familiarisation period
- Practical experience in analysing and discussing operational and technical specifications
- Practical experience with Unix O.S. (or Linux), Shell Scripts, TCP, IP, UDP/RUDP, SNMP
- Practical experience with MS Word, MS Excel, a Relational Database, a Configuration Management System, a Test Management Tool and a Problem Management Tool

NICE TO HAVE REQUIREMENTS:

- Practical experience with Ethereal/Wireshark
- Practical experience with load and endurance testing, as well as in system performances analysis (eg response times)
- Practical experience in end user support and/or training. Knowledge and experience with the following standards: ED-12B or ED-153, IEEE-12207
