This candidate must be enthusiastic about this position! Also, candidates must be able to communicate effectively, and properly, in English (written and verbal), and is willing to work for the pay rate.
There have been too many times that the candidate hasn't been prepared for the phone screen, or onsite interviews.
Please put extra effort to qualify your candidates!
The contractor will be working with the managers/team members at all levels of the business and needs to be able to interact and represent themselves (and the department) on a professional level.
This contractor will perform basic testing, as well as disassembly/reassembly, on complete ultrasound systems, sub-assemblies of that system, or individual parts of that system.
Through the refurbishment process they will also be cleaning the systems, and or parts, as needed with basic chemicals.
Also, they will be identifying and ordering (internally) any needed parts to complete their process.
*This candidate must have strong computer skills in MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook.
The manager needs someone who has more than basic skills in these areas.
This candidate should not have any issues filtering, sorting data, creating charts or graphs in Excel, sending/sorting/replying to emails, scheduling meetings in Outlook, putting together a Powerpoint presentation of multiple slides, and creating documents in Word.
Also, the candidate must be able to type on the computer (ie minimum 30-40 wpm). Please make sure this candidate has these skills because the candidate will be tested on them.
JOB DUTIES:
This contractor will perform basic testing, as well as disassembly/reassembly, on complete ultrasound systems, sub-assemblies of that system, or individual parts of that system in an environment that is not climate controlled.
Uses hand tools and small power tools to disassemble/reassemble units.
Assists in implementation of process improvements to increase quality and productivity levels
Execution and delivery of the daily, weekly and monthly forecasted production goals required to meet output quotas and group performance goals
Successfully motivate and maintain high moral, employee involvement, safety and teamwork
Demonstrate the ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment
Demonstrate effective interpersonal, teamwork & networking skills
Comply with all EHS and Quality regulations and policies
Participates in quality control inspections and EHS activities as required
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
2-4 years of mechanical assembly experience in the field or in a related area
Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook
Knowledge and understanding of production process Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications
Ability to lift 40-50 lbs up to shoulder height
Flexibility to work overtime as needed. (To include early morning, late evenings and/or weekends)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates or Bachelors in engineering, manufacturing, project management, or related field
Demonstrated management/leadership in prior positions
Change agent with energy, passion & enthusiasm to drive change
Experience with LEAN or Six Sigma manufacturing techniques
A strong commitment to a professional growth
Prior experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment
Prior technical writing (Work Instructions, SOP's, Quality Documents, etc.)
Knowledge and basic understanding of ISO 13485 industry standards
