WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Factory Acceptance Testing Technician may have responsibilities including equipment setup, manufacturing, assembly, basic testing, troubleshooting, reporting/documenting results of tests and assembly operations. This position requires little or no explanation for a variety of standard operations and manipulations and routine work, but considerable explanation for non-standardized operations and manipulations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

- Based on both observations and calculations, the technician recommends changes in equipment and procedures for subsequent manufacturing processes and experiments
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all work. As required, with guidance, provide data for formal reports (oral and written) of the work. Also prepare and submit, with guidance, appropriate disclosure letters of patentable ideas when a contribution has been made and evaluated by the supervisor
- Develop and execute training plans as required
- Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions
- Use judgment to determine proper troubleshooting steps or improvement to current processes
- Collaborates with other departments in the planning & execution of duties to ensure the orderly flow of material and information
- Under limited supervision, perform routine experiments and troubleshooting. Adjust variables as directed, take specified data, and bring equipment irregularities to the attention of the supervisor. Make a variety of specified measurements and manipulations with skill.
- Perform work from detailed instructions from detailed instructions, set up or modify equipment, calibrate and operate equipment (mainly routine testsor AAS other than in field plus three (3) years or more related experience; or equivalent overall related exp and/or education in lieu of specific degrees
- Demonstrated motivation to meet manufacturing outputs and continuously improve processes
- Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information

Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
- Demonstrated proficiency to utilize computerized work systems
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate using English

- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology related fields
