Role: Junior Test Technician

Location: London

Duration: 6 months (Rolling)

Rate: Negotiable (Pending on experience)

Background
My client is an award winning company at the forefront of the digital multimedia revolutions who use a range of solutions such as DAB, DAB+, DMB-R, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth and other leading edge standards for broadcast, Internet radios. Their products - semiconductors, modules and IPR - are used by the world's leading consumer equipment suppliers such as Panasonic, TEAC, Philips, Pure, Sony, etc.

Purpose of the Job
This is a junior position within the engineering team with opportunities to contribute to the business.

The role of the System Test team is to test products to ensure that they meet specification and to identify any potential problems, before they are found by the client's customers. Hence this role is critical in maintaining and extending my clients reputation as a supplier of high quality technology.

*Testing in accordance with test specifications against the product specifications, and external standards, for new products
*Hands-on lab testing of new products

The Technician will have the following general attributes

*Proven experience as a test professional in an Embedded test environment
*Experience and knowledge of product qualification tools and processes
*Understanding of hardware and software development processes
*Accept responsibility and accountability for tasks and their timely completion
*Can-do, positive attitude
*Junior Test technician who sees their contribution in context of the business need
*Awareness of consumer product development life cycle
*Effective communicator with peers and managers
*Strong team player

Technical areas of qualifications and essential experience needed

*Preference for electronic engineering degree or A grade A-levels in physics, maths etc
*ISEB trained
*Understanding of FM and DAB digital radio technology preferred
*Media streaming
oUSB connectivity, iPodinteraction inciPodapps, Bluetooth Streaming
