Test Technician

We are seeking a Test Technician for a Temp to Hire role in Suwanne, GA. Position is required to perform integrated solution testing on both hardware and software components, including system installation of operating systems, firmware, and custom software packages

Skills :

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience with integrated hardware/software solutions 1-5 years of work experience in a technology industry Have a strong desire for system quality and ability for attention to detail; excellent analytical skills but still advocate for the non-technical point of view Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; MS Office tools PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional Test Certification Experience testing in Agile development environment Prior experience with testing, installing or supporting retail solutions Experience with Windows operating systems Experience with point-of-sale peripherals and device technologies.* A Quality Software Professional is Needed w/2-3 years of experience in testing software in a POS environment.

Responsibilities :
Position will participate fully in the software test process of development life cycle and will be responsible for: o Reviewing requirements documentation o Developing test plans and scripts o Staging and performing manual test cases o Formulating methods for automated test cases o Tracking defects, including research and validation o Testing installation methods o Writing technical release notes o Supporting new releases Position will work both as individual contributor and team member, working with cross-functional groups Position will have some customer-facing responsibility and may be expected to travel infrequently, domestic or international Position requires flexibility to handle shifting priorities, judgment to assess risks to project dates and ability to adapt quickly to changing technology environments Position responsibility will progressively increase with product knowledge; Will be expected to build and develop knowledge of available test practices and tools; Develop and maintain product and industry knowledge.
