Test Specialist - Data Centric

Well versed in basic principles and practices of Software Testing and Validation. Working knowledge in different levels of testing (Component System Testing, System Integration Testing, End to End testing)Good knowledge of testing procedures in general. Good knowledge of QC - mandatory. Basic knowledge of CS testing procedures. Excellent knowledge of SQL/Oracle queries, mandatory. Excellent knowledge of requirement), mandatory Risk Management. Rich experience in designing Test Strategy and Test Plans. Exposure in Test Estimation methodologies. Good relational skills and ability to lease with developers of relational database concept, mandatory. Ability to analyse big quantities of data, mandatory. Good knowledge of algorithms (needed for White Box testing on CS platform) - mandatory. Basic knowledge of banking/trading concept (useful but not mandatory) Analytical skills (deep analysis)

- Application Testing - Should be able to differentiate the different testing phases like Unit Integration, System, Acceptance, Regression testing and should be capable to perform these tests with the help of ready-test cases. Should understand Test Plans, Requirement Traceability Matrix, Orthogonal Array Tool. Should be able to do metrics analysis and reliability analysis effectively with DFA tool.
- Data Centric testing - Should be able to write SQL statements involving complex joins and grouping Should be able to understand the data model Should be able to create test plan based on Mapping document Ability to test at least one ETL (like Informatica or Data Stage) or BI tool (like BO or Crystal Reports) Ability to use a testing management tool
- Quality Center - Able to use Quality Center at an user level. Understanding of all the navigations and features in QC. Ability to use QC as a Test management tool.
