TEST MANAGER/TEST ENGINEER WITH DWH/BI

Our client, headquartered in Zurich, is an important subsidiary of a global company in the finance industry. We are looking for a TEST MANAGER/TEST ENGINEER WITH DWH who can start as soon as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role is in the DWH Business Intelligence testing area. We have a suite of DWH applications where we need a pro-active, customer oriented, Test Manager. Due to the nature of our environment we are looking for people with an understanding of both Test Engineering and Test Manager roles.

WE OFFER:

- Being a part of the global Back Office testing services organization
- Managing IT testing for a Business Intelligence Project team by delivering quality and testing services that include test management, test specification, test reporting, Test Design/Execution
- Close coordination and cooperation with the IT project and business test teams
- Providing hands on test management for the DWH applications, in line with Testing Services Standards. Proven experience in following the testing process is essential
- Interacting with, reviewing, and providing actionable feedback to the Requirements Engineers
- Test Management, Execution, Reporting, Monitoring and Controlling testing as well as coordinating testing with the Business

- Silverlight experience
- VBScript and SQL experience
- Customer focused with an ability to lead meetings with the business, deep understanding of potentially politically difficult situations
- Experience with managing a team
- Technology:

o OLAP or data cubes experience
o Business Intelligence
o SQL, Unix, DWH, DataMarts
o Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies (including Excel & Pivot Tables)
o Quality Center
o Test Automation, Scripting (Tool might be Quick Test Pro)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
- ISTQB certification preferred
- Fluent English written and spoken, German is a plus
- 5 year experience required in technical Software Testing/Test Management
