The Test Manager is a key position at a very important time. The Test Manager will need to review and assess the test plans and test events with all suppliers and oversee the end to end test events. Successful candidate will advise on and execute the user acceptance test strategy.
This is a complex, demanding, hands-on but extremely exciting role which will be pivotal to overall success of this organisation.
It will be vital that you have telecoms experience as well as bringing strong Test practice capabilities.
THE ROLE
- Review, assess and assure the Test plans for program delivery
- Work with the main suppliers to ensure complete test coverage
- Design and Lead the User Acceptance Test events
- Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with key business & technology stakeholders
- Proactive and timely identification and communication of timelines, risks, issues and dependencies associated with testing activities to relevant stakeholders
- Successful handover of testing report to relevant stakeholders with a focus on ensuring that detailed results, risks, issues, recommendations and observations are fully considered and documented.
- Identification and delivery of status and progress
- A consolidated Test plan for complete program delivery.
- A consolidated vendor strategy with commercial arrangements allowing us to flex our capability
- Management of the overall test process for the company across all projects and programmes
- Provision of status and progress reports including test metrics
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in the delivery of large scale testing solutions essential
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Proven ability to identify complex problems and find creative solutions
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and good documentation skills
- Proven ability to successfully manage external partners/vendors
- Proven ability to respond well to change and maintain flexibility while keeping focus on objectives
- Must have good telecoms experience ideally including fixed-line
