TEST MANAGER - INSURANCE/FINANCE

We are growing our business through the acquisition and management of in-force portfolios, meaning there are many new and exciting opportunities, including this Test Execution Coordinator role.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to oversee the testing of our migration partners, and directly co-ordinate the in-house testing for the life migration project.

KEY SKILLS

Test Execution - greater than 5 years' experience required

Test Planning - greater than 5 years' experience required
-

Financial systems experience - greater than 3 years experience desired

Strong written and oral communication skills - 5 - 7 years' experience required

Planning, managing and organizing - 5- 7 years' experience required

MS Office Suite - 3-5 years' experience required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-

Produce a simple test strategy that balances the needs of thorough testing against the time constraints and resource availability.

Produce schedules/plans for each in-house testing area, to be agreed with the individuals testing, monitor and report against the plans.

Ability to execute test cases to verify results and communicate the testing results.
-

Work with key Finance, Actuarial and Data Warehouse users to plan and execute the balancing/validation across interfaces and reports.
-

Work with Finance, Actuarial and Data Warehouse team to develop test plans and define conditions that will allow Resolution Life to sign off in acceptance of the file format and data prior to go live.

Work closely with testing users to ensure the criteria identified and test plan once executed will adequately test conditions for signoff.

Summarize and report testing results and track and manage condition failures with se2 for resolution.
-

Identify testing failures that are show stoppers versus can go live and resolve.
-

Determine key Testing conditions for Financial Reporting to ensure accuracy.
-

Develop a testing practice, templates and reporting for future test execution.
-

Co-ordinate the re-running of failed test conditions, keeping logs of progress (failed and passed, deferred and executed).

Keep a track of defects/bugs and report these to the partners and stream leads.
-

Plan and coordinate the receipt of migration partner files for testing. This includes, QA, BET and Pilot Testing.

Assume lead role for communications with migration partner relating to testing results and resolution of failures.

STAKEHOLDERS AND RELATIONSHIPS

-

Work closely with the Migrations Project Managers (both in-house and with our partners).
-

Work closely with the Finance, Actuarial, Systems, and Investments work stream leads in coordinating their testing.
-

Build a relationship with the Partner Test Leads to track progress.
-

Work with the PMO Manager to ensure all essential information is communicated across the program.
-

Build a relationship with key players of Allstate who are providing the data and functional specs of the books of business.
