TEST MANAGER - BRUSSELS BELGIUM - DUTCH SPEAKING

(TEST MANAGEMENT, TESTER, TEST, TESTING)

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Test Manager.

Experienced TEST MANAGER to improve testing processes and organization.

You will be part of teams that are mainly building IT infrastructures (networking, security, systems, unified communication ) but also integrating customer specific software solutions.

CONTEXT

Our department works for some 15 top customers: customers for which we have an important recurrent business in multiple ICT technologies and for which multi-discipline resources (Project Managers, Service Managers, Architects, Engineers) are permanently dedicated. For these customers we are building custom and integration solutions.

We are leading large and very large projects like:

- Setting up of new datacenters at customer-site with high level of reliability and availability
- Hosting large and complex infrastructures in our datacenters
- Designing of new WAN, MAN and wireless networks
- Implementing Workplace management solutions for users: laptop, mobiles
- Migrations, set up of DRP sites
- Implementing Radio networks and Unified Communications systems
- Implementing and operating software solutions and Back End systems

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

At first:

- For the IT infrastructure and Unified Communication aspects of the solutions, you'll just have to play a SUPPORTIVE role next to the Project Manager
- For the software aspects of the solutions (managed by software solution partners), you'll play the role of CONTROLLER, and on a few occasions, the role of TESTER in charge of writing and executing test cases
- For the acceptance tests of the whole solution (IT infrastructure and Unified Communication and software aspects), you'll play the role of TEST MANAGER:
- Communication and coordination with the customer and end-users
- reporting on test results and on progress of resolution of issues
- working with people, assigning tasks, tracking progress
- communication to the project team and higher management

Then you'll increase the testing maturity of our organization:

- Giving presentations about concepts of testing: test strategy, test plan, test scenario, test reporting and follow up
- Coaching and supporting the Project Manager to improve the definition of testing acceptance criteria at the start of the project or during bid phase
- Coaching and supporting the internal testers (engineers, architects, project managers ) so that they can follow a systematic way of testing: high level test plan, test results documented
- Coaching and supporting people so that they can use a professional tool for the definition of their test scenarios and test results (JIRA, Quality Center )
- Giving support to the department to build a Business Case for improvements of test practices and organization

PROFILE

- You have experience as TESTER OF SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS
- You have experience as TEST MANAGER or any other leader role (Project Manager, Service Delivery Manager). You have some experience in managing customers and end-users. You are able to lead meetings and you have authority.
- You have excellent communication skills and you are customer oriented.
- You collaborate with your colleagues and partners and you can quickly get the information you need from technology experts.
- You are able to work without supervision.
- You read, write and speak Dutch and (English or French)
- Your prepare and present results to various audiences: project team, test team, higher management
- You are persistent and quality-minded
- Plus for the candidature (optional): 
- You have experience as TESTER OR TEST COORDINATOR OF IT NETWORKS
- You have experience as TESTER OR TEST COORDINATOR OF IT SYSTEMS (DNS, MS Exchange, Lync, Sharepoint
- You have a certification in testing or test management (ISTQB, TMAP)
- You are able to read RFP's and to write some technical parts of the answer.
- You have experience in Release Management
- You already used tools such as: JIRA, QualityCenter
