Hyphen are exclusively recruiting for a Test Manager to work an initial 6 month contract for a large financial services organisation based in Chester.

The Testing team continues to engage in testing for Releases and Initiatives. In order to facilitate System Integration Testing (SIT) and to support the teams with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) there is a requirement to expand the current non-production test environments to meet the increased testing demands from the Application Development teams and projects.

The main objective of this role is to define the gap between the supply and demand in the current landscape, build out and manage new environments as required and set up tools, routines and governance to manage the changing landscape in preparation for a major program of change.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

*Experience of Environment Management - build, deploy and manage
*Credit Card/Banking/Financial Services experience
*ITIL Certification or equivalent (min Foundation level)
*Proven stakeholder management skills including 3rd Party Vendors.
*Strong oral and written communication skills, able to translate technical issues to appropriate stakeholders.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills being self motivated, disciplined and decisive.
*Flexible and adaptable in attitude to working practices.
*Experience with complex application architecture and protocols and able to learn new tools and technologies.
*Experience working on large programs of change.

*VMWare - Vitualisation, both client and server
*Redhat Enterprise Linux
*Continuous Integrations Tools
*Continuous Integration Static Analysis
*Subversion version control (SVN)
*JVM Based language deployment
*Oracle (Management/SQL)
*JMeter/JUnit tests

PREFERRED

*ISTQB/ISEB Testing Certification
*HP Quality Centre experience
*Exposure to Release Management practices
*Knowledge of Java, WebSphere MQ
