Test Manager

Our client a large Commonwealth Government department is  looking for a Test Manager.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the overall testing of the project, including Integration, Performance, Stress and Accessibility (WCAG2) User Acceptance. This will include;

- Drafting the Test Strategy and Test Plans
- Working with the Project Manager to determine the time, cost, scope and quality expectations for the test effort on the project
- Coordinating and monitoring the testing
- Managing test resources
- Reporting regularly to the Project Manager and Program Test Manager on the progress and issues of the test effort on the project
- Producing Test Status Reports
- Producing Test Summary Reports and organising sign-offs
- Reviewing all testing output for each assigned phase
- Confirming that all identified defects are in fact defects and not changes in scope
- Confirming all identified defects have not been previously reported and documented
- Assigning a criticality rating to each defect
- Recommending the order in which defects are to be fixed
- Directing the defect record to the Technical Team Leader
- Ensuring defect information is updated on a regular basis

THE SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

- In-depth experience in software testing and quality assurance;
- Strong ability and experience in test management;
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships;
- Ability to work with tight dead lines;
- Ability to work equally well as a team member or individual;
- Ability to resolve conflict in a polite and reasonable manner;
- Willingness to work during non business hours if required due to project timeframes.
