Role

- To advise clients (internal or external to Resource Management) to select and use best methods and tools to analyse project documents with the aim of producing detailed Test Strategies and Test Plans.
- Monitor and control all stages of the development life cycle including systems testing, user acceptance testing and release testing.
- Negotiate with external third parties and strategic partners to ensure testing is fit for purpose.
- Be able to act as a Consultant on all testing matters for the Business, Executive and IT Management.
- Acts as Line Manager or Assignment Manager - or both - for Testers, including Lead Testers. Directly accountable for plans managing resources effectively through appropriate Matrix management.

Key Accountabilities

Project Delivery

- Manage project deliverables, identifying and recording risks involved and helping to develop mitigating actions.
- Ensuring that all relevant standards and procedures are applied, including adopting the appropriate Test Strategy for the development methodology Testing Environment Knowledge.
- Have broad based knowledge - both in the Business and Technical areas to be able to advise and influence clients and colleagues in strategic direction and consult on issues. Planning and Control.
- Monitor the work of others to ensure that all plans and schedules meet delivery milestones.
- Be able to integrate, when required, the plans of others to ensure contingency arrangement exist.
- To initiate, Influence others and act on the outcome of quality reviews were appropriate.

Relationship Management

- Maintains up to date project plans and documentation. Use test metrics to show overall test process and current level of application quality.

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience at Test Management level, with a demonstrable track record working on large testing programmes.
- Relevant people and budget management responsibilities.
- Knowledge of payments industry business environment(s).
- Detailed knowledge of IT tools and techniques.
- Must have or be studying for ISEB Practitioners accreditation or equivalent and be committed to continued development for recognised technical qualification.
- Significant MS Office product experience, including MS Project, Visio, Word, MS Excel, inc. Formula and Charting capability & MS PowerPoint, inc. production of presentations.
