Test Manager

An exciting opportunity has a risen for a Test Manager to be based in Halifax. This is a fixed term contract for 6 months with a salary of £36k - £40k.

You will be working for a UK Leading Retail Bank leading a Team to deliver the business Testing for multiple/large scale projects.

Purpose of the role:

*Define and implement the overall test approach working effectively with the IT Test Manager.
*Ensure all test phases have appropriate entry/exit criteria.
*Define roles and responsibilities for the test team.
*Implement a well structured approach to test defect management and incident reporting.
*Own and resolve issues around the technical solution delivered into the business environment.
*Monitor and report the status and progress of each test phase to different stakeholders.

Skills and experience required:

*Financial services experience.
*Experience in the application of Change Management approach.
*Detailed knowledge of core retail systems and a good understanding of other retail systems.
*ISEB/ITSQB foundation, Intermediate and Practitioner Certificate in Software Testing.
*Experience in the use of Quality Centre to produce Management Information on the progress of testing.
*Experienced in the selection and application of test tools.
*Able to lead, guide and train on test approach definition, test environment management, test scheduling, test Scripting, incident management, automated test tools, formal test methods and interface testing.
*Experienced in workshop design and facilitation.
