Test Manager

We are currently searching for a TEST MANAGER to work in Geneva area, Switzerland. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a multi-national client.

You will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling all activities associated with testing of large scale, complex, global development projects.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- Proven technical and/or operational expertise in an IT or Operations role
- Exceptional knowledge of testing best practice, including processes, standards and test automation and management tools
- Significant experience of the service delivery methods
- Significant experience of risk management and mitigation
- A wide knowledge of IT hardware, software, operations and networks.
- A good understanding of all stages of the application development process, from specification & design, development
- Team player who will cooperate closely with other internal/external teams;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer focus;
- An excellent knowledge of the project life cycle
- Strong project leadership abilities;
- Understand and interpret complex business and IT requirements;
- Find logical solutions to problems and manage to resolution;
- Proven ability to prioritise competing demands
- Excellent organization skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Educated to an undergraduate degree level
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation level but ISTQB Advanced Test Manager level preferred.
- Management skills
- French will be a distinct asset.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

- Manage the full testing life cycle of large scale, complex, global projects to ensure comprehensive, timely and high quality outcomes;
- Apply specialist expertise to determine system and operational process changes and testing requirements of large-scale, complex global projects, through review of design documentation and consultation with business user groups and development teams;
- Create project plans using tools that facilitate task listing, assignments, tracking and modification to ensure business requirements are completely satisfied, on time and within budget.
- Produce executive reports on assigned projects, to keep management informed of testing status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone status;
- Lead regular project meetings and follow up with team members as required, to focus on business, operational or technical issues;
- Maintain high degree of expertise and remain current on technical and professional developments affecting testing;
- Be a key player in the development, implementation and improvement of testing standards, processes, tools and techniques, in cooperation with the relevant teams
- Implement strong planning and resource forecasting techniques;
