Test Manager

For our Leading Banking client in Zurich, we currently have an opening for an experienced Test Manager for a contract position based in Zurich.

My client is seeking a Test Engineer/Test Manager (f/m) in the DWH testing area. They have a suite of DWH applications where we require a pro-active, customer oriented, Test Engineer/Test Manager. Due to the nature of our environment we require people who are able to work as both TE and TM.

Description of Service/Scope of Assignment:

- Our Team, part of the global testing services organization is offering a challenging position for a Test Manager DWH (f/m)
- As a TM you should be able to manage IT testing for a DWH Project team by delivering
- Quality and testing services that include test management, test design, test execution, test reporting.
- This role requires close coordination and cooperation with the IT project and business test teams.
- Provide hands on test management for the DWH applications, in line with the Banks Testing Services Standards.
- Proven experience in following the testing process is essential.
- Solid background with Test Design, Test Execution, and defect follow-up.
- Experience in Oracle development will make his knowledge very valuable for testing in the DWH team overall.
- Able to lead meetings with the business, with a deep understanding of potentially politically difficult situations.
- Strong ability to interact with, review, and provide actionable feedback to the Requirements Engineers.
- Duties include, Test Management, Execution, Reporting, Monitoring and Controlling testing for the first release of the DW Core application

Technical or Other Skills:

Qualification:

- Strong organization skills
- Experience with managing a team
- Financial management experience
- Attention to detail
- Technology:
- SQL, Unix, DWH
- Informatica ETL Tools
- Data Modeling via ErWin or Sybase Power Designer
- Batch Control
- SQL Tuning experience a plus
- OLAP experience recommended
- ISTQB Certified TM Expert Level
- Languages
- English and German (must have)
- Education: University
- Experience 9 years

Work place is Zurich
Duration is 6 months with extentions
