Test Lead/Test Manager/Tester - SAP/ERP - Asia Pacific

Test Lead - SAP/ERP - Asia Pacific - Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines

Test Lead required to join a leading global brand's SAP implementation program team to develop and execute the test strategy/scenarios across the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities
*Accountable for the development of the testing strategy including the plan and approach for the documentation and execution of the required testing cycles relevant to the Asia-Pacific template deployment within the Program Life Cycle.
*Accountable for complete and accurate creation and execution of the Asia-Pacific Program's testing strategy and defect resolution life cycle including regression, integration, user acceptance and performance testing
*Accountable to ensure the Asia-Pacific test execution proceeds according to Program Schedule and defects are resolved in a timely way
*Accountable to test both the SAP Solution and other impacted production application(s) to meet the language requirements and integration supported by the SAP Solution for the in-scope business locations
*Accountable for complete and accurate development and execution of test strategy, plans, and scripts/cases
*Accountable to manage, track, and resolve testing related Risks and Issues
*Accountable for all testing tools required (HP Quality Centre) during the Asia-Pacific Program Life Cycle
*Contribute to scope documents and Project charter as required
*Support the global resolution of test defects in a timely way
*Ensure test execution proceeds according to Asia-Pacific Integrated Program Schedule and timeline
*Support the development of datasheets and test scripts to be used for Asia-Pacific User Acceptance Testing
*Support the local teams with the testing of both the SAP Solution and impacted local production applications to meet the local language and integration requirements within a deployment
*Collaboratively work with Project Management Office in relation to preparation of project plan, cutover tasks and deployment activities
*Build effective relationships with the Global Solution team to identify solutions/work arounds that could be implemented to address requirements in the testing space

Experience required
*Experience leading at least 2 large scale projects with hands-on SAP test lead experience across HCM, Finance and Logistics modules
*Management of large test teams
*Experience managing SAP testing for both implementation and upgrade projects
*Strong experience with using HP Quality Centre for planning, reporting and managing test execution and defect management
*Comfortable in both strategic and hands-on roles - eg able to coach client teams in assembly of their test scope, approach and logistics, bringing practical SAP experience and examples to bear
*Pragmatic attitude and flexible to change
*Experience working in and managing virtual teams (ie geographically dispersed, including offshore testers and multi-country sub-teams in a regional release)
*Experience managing SAP testing in multiple Asia Pacific cultures
*Experience working with Build and Test 'Factory' teams on SAP deployments and upgrades
*Background in an SAP functional role (eg solution/module consultant)
*Strong consulting experience in the SAP space, at least 5 years plus SAP experience in support and project environments.
*Ability to take end to end responsibility for initial design and related documentation both at a functional and business level, gaining formal approval and working with development teams.
*Ability to influence stakeholders at various levels to achieve an outcome within the constraints of implementing a SAP standard template
*Previous team leadership experience in a cross cultural team
*Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.
