Role: Test Lead
Role Responsibility
The Test Lead will have primary responsibility for ensuring the completion of testing tasks for one or more projects. Working in an agile/Scrum development methodology, the Test Lead will review user and functional requirements and provide feedback; they will ad hoc test early versions of functionality and develop increasingly complex manual test scripts and traceability; they will review scripts created by others, participate in test execution and monitor the progress of tests executed by others.
In this role the Test Lead will proactively engage with all team members including developers, business users and business analysts. Teams may be local or distributed across multiple locations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Identifies and solves complex or sensitive problems that have been escalated to the executive level.
Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills required to establish effective working relationships with clients and/or business partners
Researches, learns, applies and distributes information within the organization regarding software testing tools, techniques and market trends.
Able to manage test activities (resource/cost/schedule/metrics) on large, complex projects
Able to provide direct input to project estimates and documentation (Project Plan document, FRS Design docs)
Contributes to definition and refinement of testing processes and procedures and applies analytical skills to determine testing strategies
Directs the work of test analysts and senior test analysts
Reviews and provides input on project requirements, plans and prototypes
Creates test plans, test scripts, and trace Matrix, which maps the verification of requirements to one or more test scripts
Writes, reviews and executes formal test scripts including setup and data requirements, procedures and expected results
Ability to use agile planning and effort methods to estimate tasks and create schedules
Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international
Experience and Qualification
Bachelor's degree or local equivalent, in life sciences, business technology, information technology or related discipline.
Expert with comprehensive experience as a test lead.
