TEST LEAD, BDD, AGILE, SQL, AUTOMATION USING SELENIUM/LETTUCE/PYTHON, COGNOS

ROLE AND REQUIREMENTS

The purpose of the role is to undertake testing activities, gain knowledge of the systems and functionality, provide supporthowever the role may be required to support Operational Acceptance Testing.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Provide Test planning, documentation and activities. This will include documentation reviews, Test execution as directed by the BIMI Test Manager.
- To execute QA activities to agreed timescales and report progress to the BIMI Test Manager
- To track defects raised during testing through to resolution, liaising with the BIMI development team.
- Provide regular reports to the BIMI Test Manager on the testing progress, defects, issues and outstanding activities
- Ensure the test teams are following the Test Strategy, Test Approach and relevant test stage/iteration plans.
- Ensure the Requirements Traceability Matrix is maintained and covered within the testing activity undertaken
- Review the BDD (Behavior Driven Development) test scripts, test execution and test results for the test stages
- Gain product knowledge of the Service Providers systems and functionality, sharing the knowledge within the Test Team.

Raise any concerns, risks or issues to the BIMI Test Manager within a timely manner

Identify areas for test improvement through analysis, experience and use of metrics

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES ESSENTIAL

- 3-5 years testing experience in a Test Lead role
- Experience in any of the following areas;
- BDD
- Agile Testing
- Experience of hands on working with SQL

Automation using Selenium, Python, Lettuce

- Knowledge of Cognos Business Intelligence application
- All-inclusive and in-depth understanding of testing, both in strategy, standards and process, with the ability to use their experience and adapt to suit the programme requirements
- Ability to quickly understand new technology
- Ability to understand how to incorporate government regulation into the acceptance of testing
- Good communication skills

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES DESIRABLE

- ISEB or ISTQB foundation testing qualification and practical application
- Demonstrated Test Lead capability
- Energy industry
- Exposure to the full HP toolset
- experience across a wide range of business domains and sectors
- Hands on experience in MS Office applications
- Knowledge of JIRA
