Test Lead - 6 Month Contract - January Start

A wonderful opportunity for a Test Lead to join a Government department for a 6 month contract with possibility of extension.

- POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION

The role will be a part of the Applications Testing Team (ATT) and be positioned to work for specified projects and managed by the project manager.

Mandatory:
A successful candidate will be expected to:

- Demonstrate comprehensive experience in managing, planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of testing activities in a complex IT environment;
- Demonstrate proven ability to successfully lead a small test team in an equitable, participative and consultative manner, to achieve project outcomes;
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and experience in relation to;

The use of system testing methodologies;
Testing processes and documentation;
IT application testing. - Demonstrate experience in providing accurate test estimates for projects;
- Demonstrate excellent ability to take responsibility, manage work loads and priorities to successfully meet desired outcomes;
- Demonstrate highly developed oral and written communications skills, including sound negotiation skills;
- Demonstrate experience in an Oracle/Java environment and strong SQL skills.

DESIRABLE:

- Possess a minimum of 5 years software testing experience with at least 3 years experience as a test lead.
- Relevant testing related qualifications and/or testing industry recognised certifications.
