Test Lead

TEST LEAD/LEEDS, WEST YORKSHIRE/£245 PER DAY/6 MONTH CONTRACT

A leading global consultancy has embarked on a digital transformation for a British-based financial services company and is seeking a Test Lead to join the project as soon as possible.

Overall responsibility and accountability for Testing related activities on the Programme including:

- Working closely with Customer Test Management to agree and deliver the test requirements for the Programme
- Create and agree the overall Test Strategy for delivery of all Releases and components
- Driving efficiency of the test process by implementing automation and templated solutions where this saves time and effort without compromising quality
- Effectively applies the agreed test methodology and enforces project standards
- Minimises the exposure to risk on the Programme
- Management of, completion of and business acceptance of all Programme and Release related testing activity
- Document, manage and review of the SIT and OAT Test Deliverables
- Creation of detailed test plans for SIT and OAT and agree these with Project teams
- Secure adequate Functional and Technical Testing Resource for delivery of the Release/Programme objectives
- Ensure that Functional Requirements are agreed for SIT with the relevant business areas
- Ensure that Non Functional requirements are agreed with the Service/Support areas
- Provide overviews & Knowledge Transfer of the test process including Zephyr and JIRA
- Management of the Release Test Teams during planning, preparation and execution of SIT and OAT
- Monitoring & Managing SIT and OAT to agreed SLAs
- Ensuring that SLAs agreed for the defect management process during SIT, OAT and UAT are being met with the technical and functional teams
- Produce and communicate SIT and OAT progress reports during preparation and execution including defect management reports
- Create & communicate the SIT and OAT daily status reports
- Produce SIT and OAT entry and exit reports

Responsibility for:
- Identifying environment requirements to meet project deliverables milestones
- Identifying the connectivity requirements for Legacy/3rd Party systems to facilitate end to end testing requirements
- Facilitating high level test risk assessment
- Defining and agreeing entry and exit criteria for SIT with the Customer Programme Test Manager
- Escalating test risks to the Release/Programme Managers
- Escalating test issues to the Release/Programme Managers
- Driving the test process to meet deadlines and quality standards.
