Test Lab Technical Support

TEST LAB TECHNICAL SUPPORT

For this position with a world-renowned computer manufacturing company, you will be performing a wide variety of server support activities in a large-scale, high-performance computing environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Assemble, build, and configure test machines for project testing and demos.
- Assemble, build and configure initial server landing.
- Maintain lab hardware (desktops, notebooks, Servers, test rigs, test equipment, and peripherals).
- Troubleshoot hardware and software Lab issues to maintain productivity.
- Escalate issues to Design Engineering for engineering re-design.
- Locate, test, and configure hardware for demo/test.
- Provide general local networking support for lab equipment.
- Escalate to networking NTS and Blackbox as needed.
- Assist with installation, configuration, and registration of test device.
- Assist with IT compliance for all non-IT network connected hardware.
- Initial contact for hardware/software questions.
- May also be involved in assisting with physical install documentation.
- Provide training to Level 3 contractors as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 4+ years related work experience
- Solid network administration and troubleshooting skills, including hands-on experience with a variety of hardware platforms running Linux operating systems
- Server-level administration skills with Windows and Linux (or other UNIX flavor)
- Knowledge of TCP and networking principles
- A+ REQUIRED
