Summary

- Management of the day-to-day running of the environments and to ensure the environments remain operational to agreed availability targets, running daily environment checks, and having resources available to promptly investigate and repair any failures.
- Responsible for both physical and virtual environments.
- Execute, manage and control the plan and schedule. This will involve close liaison with the Build Manager.
- Own and manage the schedule clearly identifying the allocation for each environment which takes account of the time it takes to build & refresh environments.
- Own and manage the environment provisioning plan identifying all equipment ordering, buildrecommending system-wide reliability improvements; managing configuration and patching of multiple test and production Servers.
- Experience in task automation including authoring scripts in Shell (and/OR Ruby and Python) and software applications to automate repetitive tasks, monitoring system health, creating and updating Real Time inventories and reports, and improving existing processes.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying new software builds from Development into Test Environments
- Exposure to hosting architecture, monitoring and deploying of software.
- Shape and improve SDLC processes and document them in Standard Operating Procedures.
- Passion for improving software development processes and desire to automate any repetitive work.
