TEST ENVIRONMENT CONSULTANT, SECURITY CLEARED, CIRCA £600/DAY (NEG DOE), 6 MONTHS, LONDON

ISTQB, TEST CONSULTANT, SECURITY CLEARED, TEST ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT, SYSTEM INTEGRATION, STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

We are looking for a Test Consultant with lots of Stakeholder Management experience particularly around defining and setting up test environments for system integration. Ideally this person will be Security Cleared.

ROLE

Working as part of our delivery team we are looking for a very senior and experienced consultant who has exceptional stakeholder management experience and detailed knowledge of what is required to create a test environment for a high profile systems integration project.

The test consultant will initially engage with project stakeholders to define the requirements of the environment. Then looking at the available technology document a strategy and technology recommendations to achieve the creation of the testing environment with the ultimate aim being the approval of the client's stakeholders and project representatives.

The next phase will be to set about designing and building the environment followed by managing it once live. This will also include procurement and assembly of all hardware and software technologies as well as the test resource to run the environment. This will include server operating systems, client, database server, (potentially web browsers), IIS, virtualisation, etc.

This will also include all tools for configuration management, incident management and of course testing. Not just for setup, but ongoing daily use of the environment.

Day to day activities will include, but not be limited to:

- Maintaining a central repository of test-environments in scope with their latest version and connectivity details
- Allocation of test environments to teams as per requirement.
- Creation of new test environments as per requirement.
- Environment Monitoring
- Deleting/updating outdated test-environments and its details
- Preliminary investigation of issues on the environment and sometimes co-ordination till an issue resolution
- Analyzing data for environment issues, identifying trends and taking pro-active steps to resolve issues/co-coordinating for a long term fix.

The test consultant will also be an advisor on the costs of running the test environment and will seek to make timely recommendations to the client stakeholder groups to allow effective decision making. Managing budget for hardware, software, tooling and resource.
