For Our client Motorola Solutions in Norway we are looking for an experienced Test Engineer for the Nødnett Project. The Test Engineer will be a part of the Nødnett Systems Engineering team reporting to the Engineering Test Manager.
The main purpose of the job is to be responsible for the execution of the test scope in accordance with the Nødnett Test & Acceptance (T&A) strategy.
KEY ELEMENTS:
Systems Engineering - Test engineer
Tasks include:
- Execution of customer witnessed test scripts.
- Generation of system specific technical documentation.
- Provide feedback and input to the script authors on practicalities of test execution.
- Review, dry run and update of test scripts.
- Ensure timely issue resolution and documentation of issues arising from the test scope.
- Compliance with project processes and project plan.
- Regular reporting and close coordination with the Test Manager.
- Documentation review and update
Other Duties
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required
- Willing to travel or attend site as test plans require.
- Self management of assigned tasks to meet required schedule
- Self management of time recording using the Project Accounting System
- Generate and implement mitigation plans, relating to technical risks
Extent of Contacts - Internal and External
- Close contact with customer test witness team
- Close contact with all areas within project Systems Engineering
- Liaison with test Project Managers, with Operations and Rollout as required
Decision Authority and Responsibility
- Technically responsible for the execution of assigned test scope
Pre-requisites
- Degree in electrical/electronic engineering gained through a recognised period of study at University, or equivalent education or experience in electrical/electronic engineering.
- Thorough knowledge of the Network Management system used within the Dimetra IP Network.
- Thorough knowledge of the overall Dimetra IP technology and the configuration and interaction of the equipment within the switch site and its interaction with other switch sites, RF sites and control rooms.
- Good working knowledge of Dimetra subscribers.
- Clear communication skills to provide accurate reporting information and assistance to the customer support teams
- In depth experience in test execution in large system deployment, Radio Systems Engineering, Command and Control Systems, Local and Wide Area Networks, Networking Protocols
