Test Engineer (Java, OOD, GIT, Rest, Unix Tools)

Stamford Consultants is looking for a Test Engineer for one of its Zurich-based customers in the telecommunication industry. This is a three months contract with option to extend.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Excellent knowledge in OOD, Java development with proven experience records
- Broad experience in Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems, debugging software on each of them
- Good experience on developing Client Server solutions using REST API
- Experience with Git
- Excellent knowledge of Unix tools, eg, tcpdump, diff, ssh, scp, and tshark, as well as Wireshark
- Good knowledge in security, eg, encryption schemes, usual security flaws
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Proactive team player who is passionate about developing software
- Thinking "out of the box"
- Fluent English and German are must
- Knowledge of HTML and JS, HTTP and JSON is preferable
- Proficiency in Maven would be a plus
- Experience on Selenium, or any other tool to automate UI testing
- Jenkins experience
- Knowledge on the design of file systems would be beneficial
