Test Engineer - GODP Trade Reporting SI

General

The Test Engineer is our specialist for the functional testing of the GODP Trade Reporting application.

His/her role is assigned to design, plan, execute and report testing for the Quality Management.

Responsibilities

Evaluation of the requirements specifications (use cases, business rules, regulatory or other functional requirements) for the test case design
Documentation of the design, the test definition and execution for testing the functional requirements
Generating test cases, creating test data definitions and coordination the test data creation.
Defects reporting, tracking and coordinating activities for fixing and retesting
Verifying the entry criteria (tool gate) for system test as defined in the test plan
Reporting of the test results to provide the necessary basis for evaluation

Tasks

Analyze the functional requirement specifications and designs test cases and test scenarios for the different tests such as Functional Test, Application Test, User Acceptance Test and Regression Tests in accordance with the test strategy.
Testing the functionality of the system based on the requirements specification documents
Executing these test cases and documenting the results.
Supporting the Test Manager in test planning and test evaluation activities for these specific tests.

Activities

Support the Test Manager to plan and define the test strategy for functional testing
(high level test plan and detailed test plan)
Support the Test Manager to define the specific test infrastructure requirements
Implement the necessary tools as defined in the test plan
Ensure that the requested infrastructure is setup
Verify the functional requirements specifications
Identify high risk areas within the application functionality and design test cases to mitigate these risks.
Design test cases and test scenarios to verify the implemented business requirements
Define the test data and requesting the creation of the test data set for each test cycle
Check if entry criteria for system test are fulfilled
Execute the specified tests, document and evaluate the results
Reporting the test results to the test manager

Skills

Degree in IT or similar that would have an equal level
Degree in Testing methods Quality Management

Experineces

Several years + in similar roles as test engineer
Banking knowledge with certain skill in the Trading area
especially the OTC and Derivative business and the reporting related functions

Social Competence

Team player with a good communication skill

Languages

English spoken and writing
German for the interaction with the teams would be an advantage

General

Microsoft Windows 7 usage
Microsoft Office 2010 standard components usage eg Word, Excel, Outlook
Excel spreadsheet functions for reporting
Excel spreadsheet source data management
Text Editor as PS Pad, Notepad ++, etc.

Technical

Knowledge of testing methods to validate non-functional requirements
Design & Execution of functional Testing
Tools
ALM
JIRA
SVN
