Test Engineer, Bank, Brussels

OBJECTIVE: My client is an international bank based in Brussels. You will join the IT Applications/Projects team in a Test Engineer capacity.

TASKS:

Define, document and agree the test approach for regression testing;

Analyse Business/IT requirements and create Test Script documentation required to support the testing activity;

Work with IT teams and investigate defects/enhancements to close out;

Identify, analyse, solution and effectively escalate key risks/issues to the project manager/delivery manager as necessary;

Assist in the analysis of test issues and defects and identify potential solutions and/or workarounds;

Provide regular status reporting of progress to the project manager/delivery manager and test manager to track testing progress;

Build strong working relationships with other IT Teams to succeed in delivery;

Ensure a standard test approach is being adopted across the projects;

Responsibility for ensuring the test plans are produced and that testing is carried to the agreed quality levels.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 year of experience in test analysis and with the following skills:

Good knowledge of regression testing, ALM, QTP, SQL, VBA Scripting editing.

Solid experience in Test Automation.

Ideally you will have experience in the banking/financial sector.

Languages: English (+ some French nice to have).
