Test Engineer

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF TEST ENGINEER POSITION

Program, configure and run ControlLogix control system components in automation customer configurations for Functional and System Testing of control system components.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Develop and follow detailed Test Specifications.
- Perform integration of test hardware and test software with product under test.
- Develop design documentation and test procedures for the test equipment.
- Execute tests according to Test Specifications and record results.
- Document work, tests, and anomalies according to Test Department standards.
- Good communication skills.

Projects require self-direction and ability to adjust to changes in priority and scope. Must be able to work in a dynamic team oriented organization, which demands a sense of urgency, customer focus, and process improvement. Projects involve the interaction between departments including Design Engineering, Operations, and Quality.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics or electrical engineering, or computer science.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of 5 years of experience with ControlLogix system components
- System Integrator experience a plus
- Current experience and fluency with ControlLogix L6x, L7x products and/or CompacLogix Ly controllers
- Current experience and fluent with RSLogix5000 (Studio5000/LogixDesigner) software
- Demonstrated experience writing and configuring ControlLogix applications
- BONUS: Current experience (setup, debug, and use) with Industrial Ethernet Networks using Cisco switching infrastructure
