Test Engineer

In accordance with sound and acceptable engineering principles and test department standards, this Test Engineer will develop test specifications, develop testware, and execute testing on the client's control system components. Testing will focus on system level testing. Testware should be developed to run automatically. Assignments are received from department manager and/or other team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Develop and follow detailed test specifications.
- Perform integration of test hardware and test software with product under test.
- Develop (or improve existing) design documentation and test procedures.
- Execute tests according to test specifications, record test results, and log anomalies according to Test Department standards.

Excellent communications skills (written and oral), influence capabilities, and an ability to work within a cross-functional team environment to achieve position objectives. Projects involve the interaction between departments including Design Engineering, Operations, and Quality.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Functional/System testing of industrial control system components or Systems Integration experience automation control products.
- Current experience with RSLogix5000, ControlLogix, and EtherNet/IP Networks
- Must have experience with ladder programming
- Current experience with GuardLogix safety controllers and safety I/O (DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP) considered a significant bonus
- Current experience (setup, debug, and use) with Kinetix motion control systems a bonus
- Must be able to read control system schematics and configure, program, and troubleshoot control systems
- Strong system level troubleshooting skills required
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
