Test Engineer

A major American conglomerate company that produces a variety of commercial and consumer products, engineering services, and aerospace systems is currently seeking an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Electrical Test Engineer involved with test program planning, estimating, project execution, leadership and management for test facility and test equipment design & build in the Torrance, CA, area. This is a 6 month CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only, no per diem available. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien, due to program requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support EMC and EMI testing, actuators, electric motors and motor controller testing
- Perform and coordinate test design, development and analysis functions on advanced and complex engineering test projects

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with extensive EMC and EMI test experience related to new product and systems research, development and qualification testing
- 5+ years experience working with mechanical and test facility systems required to test and develop pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, heat exchangers, high-speed turbo-machinery components and systems for commercial, military and aerospace applications
- Experience with test system electrical design, EMI test requirements and specifications
- Mechanical test experience involving hydraulic, pneumatic, environmental testing involving flow and process control a plus
