Test Engineer

My client is a leading Medical Products organisation who is expanding at a very good rate working on some very exciting innovative projects, they are now seeking skilled Test Engineer to assist with their high influx of these exciting projects, below are some of the specifications of the role for you to review.
Test Engineer (6 month contract).

Immediate start

Your core responsibilities are:
* Creating test protocols, carrying out the testing and creating test reports suitable for inclusion in Design History and Technical Files to support Regulatory Submission for human in-vitro diagnostic devices.
* Supporting the specification and development of test equipment,
* Taking responsibility for installation and operational qualification of test equipment and creating necessary documentation
* Identifying design and manufacture issues with components and assemblies during testing and assisting the design team to overcome these issues

Your profile:
* Minimum of a HND in a technical or scientific discipline
* Significant hands-on experience in developing and testing of consumer and/or medical products
* Familiar with mechanical engineering science, as much of the testing is on mechanical components eg measuring pressures, volumes, forces, temperatures and dimensions
* Excellent fault finding skills and attention to detail to identify design or manufacturing issues that appear during testing
* Familiar with creating high-quality technical documents such as test protocols and test reports using MS Office applications (Word and Excel). Familiarity with formal documentation for Design History Files is preferred but necessary training can be provided
* Able to maintain concentration and focus on tasks until completely finished
* Quick to learn and adapt as new problems arise and new tasks are identified during testing
* Self-starting and motivated to deliver on time to high standards
