Test Automation Lead

My Client a Media House requires a seasoned Test Lead for their London Offices for an initial 6month contract.

* Design, Creation and Ownership of Test Automation frameworks
* Writing automated tests using Selenium WebDriver to cover regression test scenarios as appropriate to the project
* Experience in the following areas: testing of websites and working in 'Agile' environments, exploratory testing, programming/automated scripting
* Strong drive to extend and improve existing tools, frameworks, processes and methodologies
* Experience writing high quality object oriented Java code
* Detailed knowledge of:

* Selenium WebDriver
* Cucumber, JBehave or equivalent BDD automation tool
* JUnit or TestNG

* Working knowledge of:

* RESTful services, including the ability to programmatically interact with data formats such as XML and JSON
* CI build systems, preferably Hudson or Jenkins
* Version control systems such as SVN and Git, for version control of test artefacts

* Good understanding of databases, and working knowledge of SQL
* Experience identifying the causes of defects using debugging tools such as Firebug and Fiddler, and by analysing stack traces, source code, log files and other artefacts

Preferable

* Degree educated in a computer related qualification
* Media experience
* Working knowledge of:

* Selenium Grid2
* Maven

Experience of automated testing of APIs and Web Services
