Test (Automation) Engineer

For a client in Amsterdam, we are looking for test (automation) engineers.

The client is a major player in the Telecoms industry and the duration of the project is for at least 6 months. Hiring process is fast.

The client is currently building a new platform where tv shows and movies can be stream from. Software and hardware components are brought together and tested by the test engineers to see if everything is working fine. The main purpose of this position is to support integration and acceptance testing of Video CPE SW releases

THE IDEAL APPLICANT

- Experienced in the telecom industry
- Experience in testing and automation
- At least 5 years of experience in e2e system integration
- Understanding of CPE hardware and software, video encoding/transcoding
- Solid knowledge of telecommunications technologies including: Ethernet, IP protocols
- ISTQB® Certified tester certification is appreciated
- Test automation: preferably Robot Framework and Python. Any other experience is welcome.

THE JOB

- Perform e2e system integration activities
- Responsible for functional testing of new CPE Video SW releases
- As required, support the definition, installation, and maintenance of test equipment and systems
- Provide E2e design
