The company

Our client is a world leader in the production of yellow goods to a variety of industries. In the UK our clients aims are to test and maintain products and give ongoing technical support to their customers.

The role

A need has arisen for engineers and technicians to join the team based in Leicester to test and verify the performance of Vehicles and components.

Duties and responsibilities

Specifically testing mobile aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers:

You would be required to develop or assist with the test procedures and be involved with the acquisition of data using programmable loggers.

The following tests are carried out on the clients premises:
Mechanical testing - including stability, vibration, weights, braking, tractive effort/drawbar pull
Hydraulic- Pressure, flow, oil temp, speed and performance
Automated Rig Testing
Electrical testing, structural (strain and fatigue), Sound and material (non destructive)

You would also be required to support test improvement activities and log any issues during testing, the above list is not exhaustive and can be discussed in depth if the role is of interest you.

Your Skills

*Knowledge and experience of testing off-highway or agricultural equipment
*A working knowledge of hydraulics and electrical components
*Knowledge of data acquisition test equipment - Somat eDAQ, Hyrotecchnik and Delta preferred.
