Test Analyst (Fund Accounting)

TEST ANALYST (FUND ACCOUNTING)

Test Analyst (fund accounting) is urgently required for a long-term contract on a fund accounting migration programme.

THE TEST ANALYST (FUND ACCOUNTING) WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:

- As Test Analyst (fund accounting) responsible for testing of defined deliverables
- Creation of quality test requirements/cases from source documentation
- Execution of manual functional and integrated test scenarios via HP ALM QC
- Creation of accurate and concise defect/issues input via HP ALM QC
- Liaise with business teams as required to agree delivered test scenarios and provide walkthrough of test results

THE TEST ANALYST (FUND ACCOUNTING) WILL IDEALLY HAVE MOST OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

- Solid background within Software testing
- Experience of working within different project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum etc)
- Experience capturing requirements and test cases in a test management tool, ideally HP ALM QC
- Good understanding of test phases from functional through to user acceptance
- Able to record defects and analyse potential impact
- Able to write and execute manual regression scripts
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation level certificate or equivalent industry level experience
- Any exposure to automated and performance based testing
- Experience of financial systems and fund accounting is a must
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Understanding of data base structures and interrogation techniques (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Experience of testing with MDM and Enterprise Data Management systems, Tibco and Data Warehouse technology is a distinct advantage
- Experienced in Fund Accounting and Reporting processes
- Basis knowledge of Capital Markets, Derivatives, FX, MM & Alternative Investments and fund characteristics.
- Preferable experience with testing of DWH and/or SAS
