Test Analyst - Daily Rate Contract

Daily rate - €300-330 per day (Multiple Requirements)

Objectives:

Test execution on software implementations for new projects

Key Responsibilities:
* Familiarisation with specifications
* Dynamic execution of test cases on Life and Pensions system including: Life Administrator, Schedule Manager, Rule Manager, User Manager, Documentation Manager, Eclipse Web;
* Generation of test data;
* Installation and configuration of software builds/fixes on local machine;
* Comparison of expected results with actual results;
* Reporting of defects;
* Prioritisation and tracking of defects;
* Retesting fixed defects;
* Collaborating with Development teams to support the resolution of defects;
* Preservation of test artefacts such as test results, database snapshots, screenshots, updated test plans;
* Daily reporting of testing progress to the Test Manager;
* Participation in various test phases: Integration, System, Regression and UAT Testing;
* Taking part in project team meetings;
* Adherence to test processes adopted for the project;

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

* Demonstrates flexibility and 'can do' attitude in completing assigned tasks.
* High level of issues detected during test cycles;
* Low level of issues detected in software post test execution;
* High throughput of executed test cases;
* Adherence to task timelines provided by Test Manager;
* Timely retesting of defects;
* Appropriate categorisation of issues;
* High quality output documentation;
* Detailed and accurate defect reports;
* Accurate reporting of progress;
* Ability to adapt to more urgent business requirements;
* General adherence to policies and procedures;
Competency Profile:
* Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
* Good numeracy skills
* Ability to adapt to the use of new systems quickly;
* Basic knowledge of software test;
* Competent in MS Word and MS Excel

Desirable but Not Essential:

* General experience in the Life and Pensions industry;
* Experienced in test execution;
* Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
