Testing Expert:

Our Delivery Director is looking for an expert in testing and testing tools (HP Quality center), test automation, possibly also experience in Panaya manual test accelerator tool or HP Sprinter.
It must be someone that acts on a manager level. The candidate must beable to summarize issues clearly and can propose ways forward in a sharp and easy way. Must work with my managers to explain and implement changes.

Ideally the individual understands and uses the lean methodology.

The focus of this individual will be on a number of assignments related to testing that we want to investigate/implement to reducing testing cost and reduce cycle time of testing:
- Reduce number of testing by reducing overlap in testing in the different test cycles (unit testing, integration testing, UAT). Agree with business BUIT on the test plan upfront.
- Reducing test effort in data preparation for test execution by

o prepare master data through defined scripts (automated or semi-automated) to accelerate testing and reduce the time needed to prepare for the test cases
o regular refresh of DEV and QA environments
- Define a standard for making a good test script (keeping in mind re-use, automation)
- Increase re-usability of the current test scripts (search engine, Naming convention, Other)
- Make a business case for automated testing or manual accelerated testing

eg
o regression testing
o prepare master data through defined scripts (automated or semi-automated) to accelerate testing and reduce the time needed to prepare for the test cases
- Accelerated/automated documentation of test results in order to reduce the cost of testing execution with 30%, reduce the testcycle with 30% and omit the current number of informal testing
- Define metrics on quality of testing incl reason codes in order to improve the application development process
- Reduce the current number of informal testing
- Make metric for #tickets during hypercare vs #UAT tests. Calculate target and set target for improvement
- etc

Non-Technical profile requirements:
- Some flexibility in working hours is required
- Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision;
- Quick learner, motivated self-starter;
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills;
- Able to follow change management for internal guidelines.
