Test Analyst

DUTIES

- Contribute and support the solution delivery objectives through all phases of the systems testing life cycle. Responsibilities will include analysis of agreed functional and non-functional solution requirements for the purposes of test planning and delivery estimations, preparation and execution of test scripts, coordination, tracking and reporting of test results and communications with project stakeholders.;
- Develop and provide applications testing services to agreed time, cost and quality requirements and comply with appropriate policy and guidelines specified within ISB's Project Management, Systems Development, Solutions Architecture and ICT Service Management frameworks;
- Provide systems testing support to meet customer demand for the resolution of incidents, change requests, service requests and business improvement initiatives;
- Utilise and promote best practice methodologies for applications testing. Research and evaluate new testing methodologies, technologies and opportunities for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of testing services;
- Provide technical advice to other ISB staff and business area staff engaged in acceptance testing and participate in skills transfer as required;
- Promote the principles of workplace diversity and participative management in a safe, healthy, environmentally friendly workplace; and
- Provide technical advice to other ISB staff and participate in skills transfer as required and mentor junior staff.

SELECTION CRITERIA IS DUE 8 APRIL 2013

- Demonstrated experience and ability to develop and deliver applications testing services within agreed time, cost and quality expectations.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in developing detailed test plans and test cases from business process models and systems designs. This includes proven ability to deliver testing services for functional, integration, performance and usability testing and provision of status reporting against test plans for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to comply with policy, guidelines,and better practice frameworks for project management and system development life cycle management. This includes a willingness and ability to effectively contribute to continuous improvement of applications testing, quality assurance frameworks, and toolsets for applications testing.
- Judgement, flexibility, agility, responsiveness and demonstrated high performance in problem solving individually and as an effective team member to achieve positive outcomes for business customers.
- Highly effective communication, negotiation and persuasion skills. Specifically, an ability to negotiate priorities across competing demand for testing services and manage team relationships with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Systems Developers throughout the software testing life cycle for small or large projects. This includes the ability todevelop and maintain documentation for a range of business and technical audiences.
