Test Analyst

- Initial 6 month contract
- Northern Sydney Location - Close to Public Transport

This large government organisation is looking for a Test Analyst to Lead and coordinate effective testing activities in order to verify against agreed test scripts, record and analyse test outcomes and provide test results in the form of status reports as well as test summaries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Identify the testing requirements of the project and develop, implement and manage test strategies.
- Develop and manage test plans, test scripts, entry/exit criteria and procedures for defect management.
- Oversee the planning of System Integration and User Acceptance testing and co-ordinate the execution of these plans.
- Discover and raise defects or clarify issues including requirements traceability and test plans as appropriate.
- Ensure all defects are adequately documented and follow the agreed defect management life cycle methodology.
- Manage external stakeholders ensuring that testing is effective and defects are resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensure all scope changes on test plans are effectively managed.
- Act as a single point of contact for matters relating to testing.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate end to end testing in complex IT environments.
- Experience in Test Management of complex IT integration projects, health experience such as HL7 and DICOM knowledge would be highly regarded but not essential.
- Ability to coordinate multiple test teams in order to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of testing accuracy.
- Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Actively develops good working relationships with all vendors and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound interpersonal skills.
